Fwd: Positive Energy 2

Objet : Positive Energy 2

Dear friends,

Please find attached our latest flyer for Positive Energy 2: Building Bioregional Resilience.  I would be grateful if you could circulate this widely among your networks.  Please ask if you would like me to send you some hard-copy flyers.

Since I last wrote to you, we have added to the roster of presenters, So Hie Kim-Hellstrom, Environmental Coordinator of Europe's greenest city, Vaxjo in Sweden.  I hope you will agree with me that this is a wonderful platform of presenters, carefully chosen to be able to provide both inspiration and practical tools for the building of more resilient local social economies here and now.  As with PE1, there will also be lots of Open Space sessions where participants can share with each other on their various projects.

I am writing now to remind you that there is an early-bird discount rate for bookings made before July 1.  We still have some accommodation spaces left in the heart of the ecovillage at the Park, but you need to book quickly to be sure to get one of these.  (The desire to the lodged on the Park was a recurring theme in the participant evaluations of PE1.)

We also have some bursaries available for this conference – thanks to a number of generous donations and my marathon run!  In addition there is a £100 discount for anyone booking both Positive Energy 2 and our month-long programme, Gaia Education Design for Sustainability - Training of Trainers, that has been endorsed by UNESCO as a valuable contribution to the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development and that follows on immediately after the end of the Positive Energy 2 conference: http://www.findhorn.org/programmes/programme353.php

Hoping to see many of you again here in the autumn.

Jonathan

"Finally, the generation that moved from producer to consumer, broke its connection with the land and found by  doing so that life was lonelier, less fulfilling and less nourishing, has a mission. That mission, should we accept it, could be the making of us, revealing a  resourcefulness and ingenuity we never would have believed possible."
