governments in some 50 countries of all development level throuhout a
35 year career.
Lead Specialist at the World Bank Institute (2000-2008), he led the «
Knowledge for Development Program (knowledge economy studies and
policy advice for developing countries), He managed also the World
Bank office in Marseille providing training, expertise, and capacity
building activities on urban development in the Mediteranean.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Jean-Eric Aubert worked at the
Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (Directorate
for Science, Technology and Industry), leading notably S&T country
reviews and flagship publications.
He has also acted as consultant for a number of international
organizations including the European Commission and UN bodies (UNIDO,
UNESCO, UNCTAD, UNU).
Jean-Eric Aubert, a French national, has a Post-Graduate diploma in
Economics and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Paris universities.
He has been responsible as author or editor of more than 40
publications and published a number of articles in science and
technology policy, social sciences and cultural issues.
